The Migrant – Graduation and OSY page is required if any Migrant funds are retained.  Note: If Migrant funds are not retained, the screen can still be accessed, but the fields will not be editable.

There are five Migrant pages on the LCP Application, and they are:

• Graduation and OSY
• Non-Instructional Support Services

Read below for further clarification on how to fill out the Migrant – Graduation and OSY page.  Click on the above links for further clarification on the additional Migrant pages.

Warning:  If you enter data and do not save your data, it will not be saved when you close the page.  You can choose to save the information after filling out each of the Migrant pages, but it is recommended to save occasionally so that information will not be lost.

Graduation and OSY

The Kansas program offers high school students supplementary programs and services to earn credit for missed or incomplete courses, helping them stay on track for graduation.

Strategies/Activities to Meet Outcomes

Strategies/Activities to Meet Outcomes: Check all that apply.

During the regular term and summer term, offer supplemental credit accrual options and supplemental instruction leading to graduation

During the regular term and summer term, provide educational opportunities to help middle school and high school-aged migrant students plan for postsecondary education and a career

During the regular term and summer term, provide supplemental education for OSY appropriate for their academic needs through a statewide OSY project

During the regular term and summer term, promote academies and workshops focused on credit accrual

Participate in interstate projects to support student achievement and outcomes such as Migrant Consortium Incentive Grants, PASS programming, and other appropriate interstate collaboration efforts

Name of Site Where Services Will be Provided

The Attendance Center Grid will be pre-populated with the school buildings that have a status of 'Active' or 'Pending' in the KSDE Directory system.

Note: If any of the District's school buildings is not displaying, you will need to go to the 'Directory Update' system and add the school building(s).  Once the request has gone through the approval process, the building(s) will display on the Building Allocations screens.

Place a check next to each of the buildings where Migrant – Graduation and OSY services will be provided.

Name of Site Where Services Will be Provided -- Place a check next to each of the buildings where Migrant - Graduation/Out of School Youth services will be provided. (Note: Each of the columns can be sorted by clicking on the column headers.)

The following are a list of errors that may appear on the 'Migrant – Graduation and OSY' page:

Error (alphabetical)	Definition/Process
Error messages -- data will be saved on the page, but these error messages must be corrected before the application can be submitted.
At least one of the District Totals by Grade Level must be entered.	This error will appear if Migrant funding has been retained, and there has not been a value entered in the 'District Totals by Grade Level' section where Migrant – Graduation and OSY services will be provided. --> Enter the number of students per Grade Level where Migrant – Graduation and OSY services will be provided in the 'District Totals by Grade Level' section.
At least one of the Sites must be checked where services will be provided.	This error will appear if Migrant funding has been retained, and there has not been a site/building selected to show where Migrant – Graduation and OSY services will be provided. --> Check the appropriate checkbox(es) where Migrant – Graduation and OSY services will be provided in the 'Name of Site where services will be provided' section.
Check the applicable selections in the 'Resources Needed' section.	This error will appear if Migrant funding has been retained, and there has not been a selection checked in the 'Resources Needed' section. --> Check the appropriate checkbox(es) for the 'Resources Needed' section for what resources will be needed in order to provide Migrant – Graduation and OSY services.
Check the applicable selections in the 'Strategies/Activities' section.	This error will appear if Migrant funding has been retained, and there has not been a selection checked in the 'Strategies/Activities' section. --> Check the appropriate checkbox(es) for the 'Strategies/Activities' section for how Migrant – Graduation and OSY services will be provided.
District Total by Grade Level must be a whole number.	This error will appear if a value other than a whole number has been entered in the 'District Total by Grade Level' section. --> Update the number of students that will be served by Grade Level to whole numbers in the 'District Total by Grade Level' section.
District Total by Grade Level must be numeric.	This error will appear if a non-numeric value has been entered in the 'District Total by Grade Level' section. --> Update the number of students that will be served by Grade Level to numeric values in the 'District Total by Grade Level' section.
Please describe how each identified strategy was carried out in the ‘Strategies and Implementation’ comment box.	This error will appear if the question ‘For each identified strategy, describe how it is carried out, along with the personnel involved and Migrant resources devoted to its execution’ has not been completed. --> Enter an explanation in the corresponding text box.
Please explain what other strategies/activities will be funded with Migrant funds in the ‘Other’ comment box.	This error will appear if the 'Other, please explain' checkbox has been checked in the 'Strategies/Activities' section, but there has not been an explanation entered in the 'Other' text box. --> Enter an explanation of other Strategies/Activities that will be funded with Migrant funds in the 'Other' text box.
Since you have entered a comment in the 'Other' text box, you must check 'Other' in the Strategies/Activities section.	This error will appear if there has been an explanation entered in the 'Other' text box of the 'Strategies/Activities' section, but the 'Other, please explain' checkbox has not been checked. --> Check the 'Other, please explain' checkbox in the 'Strategies/Activities' section.
